Electronic Advance Sheets

Categories It's Easy!

The LexisNexis® Electronic Advance Sheets Service is very easy to use.

First you select between one and 10 courts and one and 10 legal topics which are of interest to you. The Service conducts daily searches for cases that meet your needs and automatically sends you an e-mail update when cases that match your criteria are found.
When the Service detects a case that meets your search criteria, a summary of that case is automatically e-mailed to you. The e-mail update contains pertinent information such as the names of the parties, docket number, issuing court, date of the decision, topical area(s), and a brief summary of the case itself. This information will help you decide whether to read the full text of the decision, which you can do by simply clicking the embedded link which comes with each case summary. (This feature is only available to users who choose the HTML format for delivery. Those choosing the Plain Text delivery format will need to cut and paste the citation into the "Find" box on their Internet browser.) There is no additional charge for reading the case. Please note that more than one case may be included on any given e-mail update.
