OVERVIEW: Grocer was not entitled to relief in action against city to challenge license tax as invalid under equal protection provisions of the Fourteenth Amendment. Ordinance of the City of Titusville, Pa., of June 25, 1888 was valid as it operated on all alike under same circumstances, and classifications based on volume of a merchant's sales were valid.
