OVERVIEW: A foreign corporation who ceased transacting business within the State of Washington and whose statutory agent had moved out of state became subject to substituted service with the Secretary of State under § 3854, Remington's Compiled Statutes, 1922. The State could properly insist on such conditions when admitting the corporation to do business.
