    The Federal Gateway site was established in 1997 to bring free United States Governmental resources directly to the general public. The site includes individual federal, state, and local Governmental agencies. Federal Gateway helps the user find a specific agency and simplifies the search through that agency by pre-searching information a user might be looking for in order to make that user's research effective rather than inefficient. Federal Gateway is operated by the Small Business Contracts Council, Inc. (a not-for-profit corporation).

  • Fedstats.gov
    FedStats, maintained by the Federal Interagency Council on Statistical Policy offers valuable statistical information from more than 100 agencies in the United States Federal Government. Information on FedStats includes, but is not limited to, economic and population trends, health care costs, aviation safety, foreign trade, energy use and farm production. All of the statistical information available through FedStats is maintained and updated solely by Federal agencies on their own Web servers. Users can find information various ways including, an alphabetical list of topics, a list of summaries of the major statistical programs, an agency list, current press releases, and a general keyword search that searches the entire FedStat database.

    In 1992, FedWorld search engine was established by The National Technical Information Service( NTIS), an agency of the United States Department of Commerce, to serve as the online locator service for a comprehensive catalogue of governmental information. FedWorld offers a comprehensive central access point for searching, locating, ordering and acquiring government and business information including government documents and files that are updated every hour. Information is made available from the NTIS repository and through an electronic gateway of more than 100 government bulletin boards and can be searched by keyword, predefined phrases, or by category. Review current jobs available within the U.S. surf U.S. Customs Traveler Information, search the Internal Revenue Service to review and download the tax forms, instructions and publications that are available for tax filing and much more.

    GovConnect's Internet portal provides, a single online location where citizens and businesses can connect to thousands of government resources. Users can request and receive information or conduct personal transactions more quickly and directly with agencies using GovConnect software. GovConnect has services for people, including filing taxes and unemployment claims, paying traffic citations and property taxes, registering a vehicle and renewing a drivers license, and for businesses, including filing and reporting of taxes, wages, new hires, permits, licenses and regulatory and corporate data among other services.     THOMAS was created by the Library of Congress to provide Federal legislative information freely available to the Internet public. THOMAS uses InQuery, a search engine developed by the Center for Intelligent Information Retrieval, to run searches. Users can search through current legislative action, current bills and their status, check the vote summary page for Congress, and read the Congressional Record Committee Reports. As soon as new files are received from the Government Printing Office (GPO), they are indexed and made available for searching, usually within a day after the file or bill is received. Index terms, digest, and revised digests, which require analysis of the text, are available as soon as 48 hours after introduction or action, depending on the complexity of the measure and the volume of legislative activity.
