- Are there any decisions not carried by the eService?
All decisions carried by the LexisNexis® online services are available on the Service. However, to avoid
overloading your inbox, several types of decisions will not be automatically emailed to you but will be sent in a different manner as described below. The decisions in this category are:
- "memorandum opinions"
- "table cases"
- orders adopting or amending court rules
- orders adopting a magistrate's recommendations without analysis or discussion
- orders correcting the text of a previous opinion
- documents that consist solely of an appendix to another document
- opinions that are limited to jury instructions
- opinions that contain an insufficient description of the facts or insufficient legal analysis to enable a Case Law Summary to be written
Depending on the courts you select, the email updates could potentially be enormous if we included each of these types of opinions. Large messages of this type could clog up your inbox, preventing you from sending or receiving
other email. Our solution is to send you a link, once per month via email, which will take you to a web page where all of these types of opinions are stored, arranged by court. You can peruse these opinions at your leisure. Decisions stored on these web pages will be available to you for approximately six months, at which point they will drop off to make room for newer cases.

To see an example of an HTML email, click here. In order to read an HTML-formatted email, you need to be using an email program that supports the HTML format (e.g., Outlook Express, Outlook 98/2000, Netscape Communicator, and Eudora 3.x/4.x).
