7.

What is an interactive form?
An interactive form allows case and client specific information to be merged directly into a text document or onto the face of a graphical form. The interactive forms available on lexisONE® have been automated using HotDocs® software. There are 3 different types of interactive forms:

Graphical Forms: Client and case specific information necessary to complete the form is gathered and then merged directly onto the face of the form. The process is automated so that only necessary information is requested, and repetitive typing is eliminated. Time saving tools such as "wizards," calendars and Help speed completion by performing necessary calculations, dealing with overflow problems, and providing drafting guidance. Completed forms can be printed and saved. Subscribers to forms collections can also save their answers in answer files for use in other forms relevant to their clients or matters.

HotDocs® On-line Forms: Client and case specific information necessary to complete the text document is gathered using your Web browser in an on-line interview. After the information is entered, the form can be downloaded and saved to your computer as either a Word or WordPerfect document. The free and individually purchased textual documents available on lexisONE® have been automated in this manner. While the completed documents can be saved, client and case specific information cannot be used again in other relevant documents.

Text-based Forms: Client and case specific information necessary to complete the document is gathered in dialog boxes and then merged directly into the text of a Word or WordPerfect document. The process is automated so that only necessary information is requested and repetitive typing is eliminated. Timesaving tools such as "wizards," calendars and Help speed completion by performing necessary calculations, dealing with overflow problems, and providing drafting guidance. Completed forms can be printed and saved. Subscribers to forms collections can also save their answers in HotDocs® Answer Files for use in other forms relevant to their clients or matters.

20.

Is lexisONE® secure when I enter my credit card information?
Yes. LEXISNEXIS® Group believes in the highest levels of security for both our customers and our own business. Secured Sockets Layer (SSL) is the standard encryption protocol we use to provide a secure connection. With SSL in place, information is encrypted before it is transmitted between your computer and LEXISNEXIS®, blocking any attempt to observe this information by another party. You are notified as you enter a secured Internet page and as you depart the secured Internet page. You can look for these indicators prior to and following the transmission of your LEXISNEXIS® ID, client matter code, and search information. You should know, however, that SSL encryption may result in slightly slower system performance.
