  1. Will my ID ever expire?
  2. ID's will not expire if they are used at least once within 120 days (4 months). If an ID is not used within 120 days (4 months) the ID, credit card and user information will expire and be deleted from LexisNexis.

  4. Providing your credit card information during registration, allows for a quicker transaction process without the hassle of entering credit card information each time a transaction is performed.

  9. Will I receive an invoice when I purchase documents?
  10. No, you will not receive any type of invoice in the mail. However, you will receive an electronic receipt on your screen after purchasing documents and you can print a copy of it at that time.

  11. Is there a option to pre-pay for multiple search retrievals rather than having my credit card charged multiple times?
  12. Yes. Flexible LexisNexis® Research packages are offered on a daily, weekly, monthly and multiple-month basis on lexisONE® Community and LexisNexis® Online Store*. These research packages can be accessed through a single credit card purchase for each individual package.(*Monthly and multiple-month packages not available on LexisNexis® Online Store.)

  13. Is there a way I can review my credit card purchase records?
  14. Yes. Use the Order History for invoicing and accounting purposes and to review your credit card purchase records. You can also sort the purchase records by date and/or client. Records appear for all searches submitted using the LexisNexis® by Credit Card product and the Daily Opinion.

  15. Is there a way I can review previous search results?
  16. Yes. When you submit a search, your search is automatically saved and added to the Documents Purchased log. Click on a search link in the Documents Purchased log to view your search results.
    NOTE: We strongly recommend that you retrieve your documents as soon as possible after purchasing them because an unscheduled update of the source database could render them unrecoverable.

  22. Each source selection page contains a Content Listing link. You can select this link and view the sources that are included in your search.

  23. How do I search for documents?
  24. The service provides easy-to-use search templates. No subscription is required. You can quickly retrieve a case or statute, check citations, or perform more in-depth research using your own terms. There's no charge for searching; you pay only for the documents you retrieve and view.

  25. What types of searches can I perform?
  26. You can search using your own terms. Use the terms field on the template to enter the search terms you want to use for your search. You can define relationships between your search terms, using Boolean Connectors or you can enter your search terms in plain English without having to use any special terms.

  27. How often are documents updated?
  28. Document databases are updated frequently as new information is received. This process changes various identification numbers within the database structure, which may prevent the retrieval of your purchased document at a later time.
    We recommend that you print your purchased documents as soon as you retrieve them.
