Overview: In appeals subject to an Anders motion, a written statement of reasons required by 18 U.S.C.S. § 3553(c)(2) had to accompany the judgment of conviction, and counsel would not be permitted to withdraw pursuant to Anders until such statement had been made part of the record and considered as part of the Anders analysis.
