Overview: Defendant's convictions and sentence were affirmed. Even if police officer was mistaken in belief that damage to defendant's car was violation of Virginia law, it was reasonable for the officer to believe that a traffic violation had been committed and therefore the stop was objectively reasonable. Thus, the motion to suppress was properly denied.
