Overview: Defendant's convictions for conspiracy to distribute cocaine and cocaine base, and of possession with intent to distribute cocaine were affirmed on appeal where, inter alia, there was more than sufficient evidence to establish that the defendant was part of a drug conspiracy dealing in cocaine and crack cocaine, in violation of 21 U.S.C.S. § 841.

Overview: Defendant's sentence was affirmed where defendant's conviction, under South Carolina law, for assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature (ABHAN) met the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines' definition of a crime of violence, under U.S. Sentencing Guidelines Manual § 4B1.2 application n. 1, because ABHAN was, by definition, aggravated assault.
