Overview: In trial for violation of 18 U.S.C.S. § 922(g)(1), district court properly denied defendant's motion to suppress gun recovered from vehicle in which he was riding; investigatory stop of vehicle did not violate U.S. Const. amend. IV because officers had reasonable suspicion that defendant, who had outstanding arrest warrant, was occupant of vehicle.

Overview: Absent valid judgment of conviction, the district court could not assume that the inmate committed the state crimes charged or required him to prove that he did not commit them. It would have been a miscarriage of justice to enhance the inmate's federal sentence on the basis of state convictions which had been vacated because they were void.
