Overview: Habeas petitions brought by detainees, who were being held as enemy combatants outside the United States, were dismissed because 28 U.S.C.S. § 2241(e), as amended by the Military Commissions Act, eliminated jurisdiction over the detainees' claims. The deprivation of jurisdiction did not violate the Suspension Clause, U.S. Const. art. I, § 9, cl. 2.
