Overview: A federal appellate court reversed defendant's 108-month sentence for being a felon in possession of a firearm under 18 U.S.C.S. § 924(a)(2) as plain error because the sentencing judge incorrectly believed that the maximum sentence was 240 months when in fact it was 120 months, resulting in the sentence not being as lenient as the judge believed.
