Overview: In this patent action, the prosecution history provided strong support for defendant's argument that the Group II patent claims should be narrowly construed as limited to products made by the process described in the specification, rather than covering all composite structural members, regardless of the process by which they were produced.

Overview: Investor claimed it had standing to sue for patent infringement, 35 U.S.C.S. § 281, because it owned the whole patent by assignment under a sub-research and development contract. However, the court held that, without a complete ownership interest or the voluntary joinder of the assignee, the investor lacked standing to sue for infringement.
