Overview: Defendant's sentence of 88 years for first degree murder under Alaska Stat. ?? 11.41.100(a)(1)(A), (b); and 12.55.125(a) was not excessive because (1) when he pled guilty he admitted that he intentionally killed victim; (2) crime was particularly brutal and senseless; and (3) based on his prior convictions, he had poor prospects for rehabilitation.
