Overview: In a child support case, a father's child support obligation terminated by operation of law under Ark. Code Ann. § 9-14-237 (Supp. 2003) when one child turned 18; the father was not required to take any affirmative action despite the use of the word "shall" in the notification portion of § 9-14-237(b)(5)(A).

Overview: After sedation for medical procedure, patient insisted on driving himself home and signed form saying he understood he should not drive and was leaving against medical advice; in widow's suit against medical center, trial court did not err in finding center did not owe a duty to have made patient comply with its advice other than what it had done.
