Overview: Search was proper, under Ark. R. Crim. P. 3.1, because an officer determined that he was going to give defendant a warning for a traffic violation, he asked defendant for consent to search, and the passenger, whose name was on the car rental agreement, consented to the search; at that time, the officer had not returned defendant's paperwork.
