Overview: Although defendant sought to avoid dismissal of his appeal under Pen. Code, § 1237.5, by filing an application urging his notice of appeal be construed or amended to include a noncertificate ground, i.e., that his appeal was based on matters occurring after his plea of no contest, he failed to establish good cause to support the application.
