Overview: In replevin action, plaintiff was entitled to return of a vehicle, which he had previously given to defendants as a gift causa mortis because when defendant did not die as expected, the gift was no longer effective; although the gift then became security for a loan from defendants to plaintiff, it ceased to remain security once the loan was repaid.
