Overview: Even if trial counsel were ineffective in not calling a psychologist to testify, his testimony would not have changed the outcome. The expert's opinion that defendant was incompetent to stand trial and insane at the time of the incident was contradicted by a second expert's opinion as well as by testimony by defendant, the victim, and eyewitnesses.

Overview: Felony murder and aggravated assault convictions were upheld on appeal, as the lack of an imminent threat justified the rejection of defendant's self defense claim, severance of a charge of aggravated assault on a police officer from the felony murder count was not required, and defendant failed to sufficiently prove two Batson violations.
