Overview: Although youngest child was born after oldest child's abuse, youngest child's environment was injurious to her welfare under 705 Ill. Comp. Stat. Ann. 405/2-3(1)(b) and presented substantial risk of injury under 705 Ill. Comp. Stat. Ann. 405/2-3(2)(ii). Youngest child was born three months after abuse, and mother had failed to protect oldest child.
