Overview: Because a property had reconverted to use as a single-family residence, and at the time the current property owner acquired the property, it was certified as a four-unit dwelling, Evanston, Ill., Zoning Ordinance § 6-6-4-7 prohibited reconversion to a more intensive use. Thus, a fifth unit was not a legal nonconforming use of the property.
