Overview: An order committing appellant as sexually violent predator was upheld because Iowa Code ch. 229A (2003) encompassed a condition such as that exhibited by appellant. Chapter 229A encompassed sexually violent predators who, like appellant, would not benefit greatly from cognitive behavioral therapy and had to instead be treated with other modalities.

Overview: Court erred in not subjecting the assets of the revocable inter vivos trust to the surviving spouse's election under Iowa Code § 633.238, because the decedent had complete control over the trust assets at all times prior to his death, which allowed the assets to be included in the statutory share of the surviving spouse electing against the will.
