Overview: In an architectural firm's suit against the city for the unpaid balance on work it performed, the trial court erred in denying the firm's request for legal interest; once the firm filed suit, the overdue accounts became the object of judicial demand to which legal interest attached in accordance with La. Code Civ. Proc. Ann. art. 1921.
