Overview: Massachusetts Treasurer erred in ruling that corporation's uncashed checks recorded in its accounts payable were abandoned property under Mass. Gen. Laws ch. 200A, § 5 of the Massachusetts Abandoned Property Statute, because the corporation was entitled to rely on prior regulations under which the checks were exempt from the Statute.

Overview: A superior court erred in ordering a hospital to produce credentialing communications as the documents did not lose their character under Mass. Gen. laws ch. 111, §§ 204(a) or 205(b) simply because they were required to be provided to an out-of-state medical board. Requiring disclosure of the disputed peer review documents was also error.
