Overview: Defendant's Sixth Amendment right to effective counsel was not violated because, inter alia, (1) a trial judge asked if any potential juror would automatically vote for or against the death penalty and, thus, counsel was not ineffective in failing to repeat that line of questioning; and (2) counsel did provide testimony in mitigation of punishment.
