Overview: Defendant was convicted of manslaughter in the shooting death of his wife. Trial court erred in denying defendant's request to present a jury instruction on his theory of the defense, to which defendant was entitled pursuant to Miss. Code Ann. 97-3-17. The trial court's error was grounds for reversal.
