Overview: An exculpatory clause in defendant's contract for sale of a burglar alarm system to plaintiff was not contrary to public policy because clause simply allocated responsibility to plaintiff to maintain the requisite insurance coverage for any property loss due to theft. Therefore, judgment in favor of plaintiff on its negligence claim was reversed.
