Overview: While a taxpayer's failure to file a timely application precluded valuation and assessment of its property as farmland under N.J.S.A. § 54:4-23.6, it was entitled to a de novo hearing under N.J.S.A. § 2B:13-3 as to the property's value, as it could be worth less than similar property due to a covenant in the deed restricting its use to farming.
